Marisa Guterman, a talented actress/singer/songwriter, appears in the leading role of Miriam, captain of the boys' lacrosse team, in Nickelodeon's first TV movie, Shredderman Rules, scheduled to premiere on the network on June 9, 2007. The film screened at the USA Film Festival in Dallas and at the recent Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Marisa can be seen on DVD, on cable, and on network TV in the hit comedy The 40 Year Old Virgin as the Girl with Braces. Opening in theatres in 2007 is her role as the nerdy college coed Fanny Applebaum in the sorority feature Legacy. Her appearance as Josh's Goth Date on Drake & Josh airs regularly on Nickelodeon. Marisa was hilarious as Frederick's goth girlfriend Andi in the final season of Frasier, now in syndication and on DVD. Her leads in Jesse Dykstra's Christopher Brennan Saves The World and Kellie Martin's (ER) Frenching are making the festival circuit and winning awards. Marisa was a Gibson-Baldwin Grammy Jazz Ensemble Finalist, selected from around the U.S. and Canada, and was one of a few vocalists awarded a scholarship to attend the California State Summer School for the Arts program at Cal Arts. A winner of a college theatre scholarship from the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, Marisa has performed at The Jazz Bakery, backed by an orchestra, and has recorded a CD of her own songs. Her commercial for AT&T, "Confetti," currently runs nationally. Marisa received a commendation from the City of Los Angeles for her service to the community. She is a member of SAG, AFTRA & ASCAP.
