Born at home in southern California, Jarrett was home-schooled by his single mother, Susie V. Kaufman (formerly from Morristown, New Jersey). He's heavily into computers (building, modifying, repairing, etc.), having built his computers from the ground up, as well as those for family members. He enjoys many styles of music, although is especially fond of Alternative Rock (90s). Jarrett loves reading, especially sci-fi, and spends a great deal of time playing video games (he's even worked for a video game publisher as a tester, copy editor, game analyst, and producer). He's also done work as a professional web designer on the side. Jarrett attended Kevin Robert McDermott's masters' acting class. He has been a proud member of both SAG and AFTRA for over 19 years, and actively served on the SAG Young Performers Committee. Beginning at age 15, he served two terms as vice president of the Board of Directors of his sometimes volatile homeowners' association. Jarrett guests in lots of television (sitcoms and dramas), and has performed in numerous features, movies for TV, a controversial play, as well as in three music videos... along with doing plenty of voiceovers. Jarrett met his wife (Tabatha Ranae Cahill) on ICQ in 1999 where they became online friends for over a year before meeting in person, falling in love, and starting a family. They credit the success of their relationship to their love, commitment, compromises, and stubbornness.
